I attended last Wednesday’s Art Think Tank at Art and Clay on Main in Lancaster with Patty Mitchell. We talked about process in a group art studio and the importance of the language we use in reflecting on work.
Patty discussed a comment I sometimes hear from ArtBreak students: “I don’t know what I’m making.” Patty advised a reply that supports the flow of art making, like “We don’t know yet – isn’t it exciting!”
People brought things from their studios to share. The paper roses on hand painted paper are from the studios of CreativeFoundations in Mount Vernon. The Owl mask (it’s really big) was created by Wendy Minor in Patty’s Honey for the Heart studio last fall in Athens.
