About Katherine Ziff

Dr. Katherine Ziff is a clinical mental health counselor, an exhibiting artist, and a writer in Athens, Ohio. For six years she offered  ArtBreak®, a creative counseling studio art program based on the restorative properties of art making.

Here she post tips, info, instructions, and resources to support her book ArtBreak: A Creative Guide to Joyful and Productive Classrooms, published 2016 by Ohio University/Swallow Press.

Paper and electronic copies of ArtBreak may be ordered from the Press as well as from bookstores.

Ziff also posts from her home art studio, Briarwood Studios, on her work as well as that of other artists.

    “Asylum on the Hill”. Very interesting. Question: Page 130, Landscape – last paragraph regarding George Link – talks about obituary dated 1903 and then says he was born in 1932 then talks about first child being born in 1859. Where there two different George Links, or is the birth date incorrect??? Thanks! Sometimes things do get confusing.
